The Providence Garden for Rehab (PGR), adheres to the motto “Individual Caring, Overall Concern” of Hong Kong Sheng Kung Hui Welfare Council. PGR  provides innovative and diversified services for about 1000 ex-mentally ill persons, different levels of mentally handicapped and severely disabled persons since 2006. It aims at enhancing their living standard and achieving their integration into community through the concept of Normalization and the Body-Mind-Spiritual integration model.

Provides long stay hostel service for the ex-mentally ill persons. Through educational, developmental training and therapy, we hope to enhance the self-care skills, social and communication skills of members.

Halfway House:

Aims at helping the ex-mentally ill persons to re-integrate into the community by providing a transitional hostel and rehabilitation service, thus promoting their self-care, inter-personal skills and working abilities.

Community Mental Health Care Services:

Provides outreaching counseling and rehabilitation
activities to the ex-mentally ill persons who discharged from hospitals within two years or reside at/discharged from halfway house.

Provides multidisciplinary vocational trainings to those aged 15-25 with early psychiatric symptom and young people with disabilities.

Provides residential care and comprehensive day care services to persons with severely physically disabilities through different therapies and developmental activities.

Day Activity Centre cum Hostel for Severely Mentally Handicapped Persons:

Provides residential care and day time training for the mentally handicapped persons; assist them in personal care need, enhance their social skills and maximize their potential.

Provides residential care and life coaching services for mentally handicapped persons, including setting up a tailor-made development programme and also enhancing their self-care and basic social skills, etc.

Provides short term residential care service for people with mentally handicapped. Its purpose is to provide a planned short break for their family and carers to attend to their personal plans such as taking a vacation or undergoing a surgery, etc.

Provides a one-stop career rehabilitation training and assistance to ex-mentally ill persons and mentally handicapped persons,including vocational readiness service, sheltered works training service and supported employment service. The brand name “ Acorn” relates to the meaning of fruitful, harvest in abundance. We hope that the society can show appreciation to our members and go hand-in-hand with us to build a fruitful garden. Moreover, we also provide different kinds of vocational rehab services such as cleaning, printing and packaging, etc. We can tailor-made for the customers' need and provide good quality service to them.

Acorn Production @PGR

Cafe Fusion, a social enterprise of PGR, has been operating since July 2007. Cafe Fusion provides job training and internship opportunities for PGR members, and thus laying a good foundation for their open employment in future. It also provides job opportunities for Tuen Mun people. Meanwhile, Cafe Fusion provides leisure and catering service for the public which also increase their awareness of rehabilitation service.
