The Welfare Council serves more than 1,700 intellectually disabled persons, recovering mental patients, and physically disabled individuals. It caters to the needs of the Tuen Mun community and emotionally troubled individuals and their families through community support and rehabilitation services. Meanwhile, our “Sunnyway – On the job Training Programme for Young People with Disabilities” offers vocational training, career counselling and mental rehabilitation services for young persons exhibiting early signs of mental illness.

Our rehabilitation services are a combination of four approaches that include integration, normalisation, the application of community and family-based methods, and the administration of therapy that borrows from both Western and Chinese perspectives.
